Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the US as well as Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. In 2016, she joined ESPN. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta is bilingual since her age of nine. Her skills were instrumental in helping her get her first post as a an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami, where she assisted the production of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Her first job was as an reporter at The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. In 2009, she relocated away from Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision. She covered stories about immigration and drug trafficking throughout Texas as well as Mexico. She was also frequently required to act as an anchor for sports and weather. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate where she took on other duties. She wrote to the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason games, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. She produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and was the anchor. She was promoted to sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. In the same capacity, she worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta's parents come from Veracruz Mexico. She was born November 22 on the 22nd of October, 1985 in Mexico City. She is more mature than her younger sister. She is the older sister. In the course of a few months, her father divorced from her mother and she later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away of kidney carcinoma in 2006. It was on a holiday in the summer that she lived with her younger sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered a job. Antonietta had just graduated high school, but was already aware of her plans for what she would be doing. She discovered that she enjoyed the university and that the school offered the major she wanted. She finished school and enrolled at the university with a major in media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the manager at WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was a part. The professor encouraged her to believe in herself and was deeply touched by his love of journalism.
